This "Around Town" Holiday Team Scavenger Hunt is a fun way to explore your town or city during December and celebrate Christmas! This urban scavenger hunt is a great team building activity to get people outside and working together to find various items and locations around a town or city. This scavenger hunt is set up as a game board in which tasks need to be completed in order. This game is meant to be a several hours to a day-long activity as there are 24 tasks to get through to complete the entire board. Set your own time limit depending on your needs and see who can either complete the board or get the farthest in the time allotted!

This printable download is set up as a PDF file for printing on standard 8.5 x 11 inch paper.

This download comes with a scavenger hunt worksheet that can be handed out to each of your teams as well as a Directions sheet that you can use to lead the activity and communicate need to know information before you let your groups disperse for the hunt.

HOW TO PLAY...

  • Create teams.
  • Distribute copies of the Scavenger Hunt Activity Sheet and a writing utensil to each team.
  • Each team chooses one person to be a "recorder" to fill in the activity sheet as well as take cell phone pictures or video to prove completion of scavenger hunt tasks.
  • Go over the Direction Sheet with the group.
  • Choose a time limit for the scavenger hunt.
  • Start the scavenger hunt & have fun! Teams will attempt to complete tasks in order on the scavenger hunt sheet and get as far as they can before time is up!
  • Teams will reassemble to share what they completed and determine who has finished first or made it the farthest on the board.
  • The team who completes the hunt first or makes it the farthest wins!
